Hi!! We are Diana and Steve, raised from humble Midwest roots, living the American Dream with a manufacturing background of over 40 years. 

Twenty of those years were spent working for a lighting and home accessory manufacturer. Over time sourcing lampshades became an issue with quality, shipping expediency and cost for our customers. With determination and learning curves, our business, Crafty Critters (now "Shady Operation") tackled the art of lampshade production. Our passion is creating and working with our hands; so, delving into this lampshade business was a true fit. 

Presently, we offer an array of lampshade materials, styles, sizes and hand painted/embellished designs that can be custom made to order if needed. 

We believe in quality and satisfaction from the point of orders, production, shipping and delivery for our customer's enjoyment and need.
